New truck driving to Texas from Florida this summer. I hear they have a few bugs in Texas. I have looked around a bit for a bug screen, but I am leaning towards just using a "Fia" brand grille cover. What about the horizontal slot in the middle of the bumper, what is a solution for that? I was thinking that possibly trying to remove that black plastic insert out of the slot, covering it with regular window screen & then trying to squeeze it back into the bumper. Anyone know how that insert piece comes out? Does it just pop out, or is it fastened somewhere? Anyone tried attaching screen to the rear of the slot behind the bumper. Any other ideas to keep bugs from smashing themselves into that new (1400 miles) radiator & condensor? thanks!
