I didn't notice a change either way in MPG , but the shifting is so much nicer .

Do it , trust me .

Not sure how it works out of warranty . Did you get the recall letter for the floor mats / gas pedal trim ?

The reason I asked is because when they do that recall work , they also install the new firmware into the truck's computer , this includes the brake override software , but also the transmission shifting re- mapping .

This is a way you could get it done out of warranty .

they did the transmission reprogram, the brake over ride, and cut the gas pedal.

shifts better, will probably never need the brake over ride, and dont notice anything

    different with the gas pedal.

I just found this post, what does the brake over ride do? Should I get it done? I have an 08 4.0 w/ 5 speed auto would it, apply to my truck?

Thanks for reply, now I know what the over ride does ie for a run away truck!! I have Weather Tech floor mats I cant amagine having a problem. As far as the ecu reprogram would that apply to my truck. I have 53000 on the odometeter still under the 6/60 warr. I'm always up for improvements.
