    I have the following quotes:
    Raider Vagabond: $1855
    Vagabond Elite: $1955
    Leer 100r: $1977
    Leer 100xr: $2277
    Range Rider: $1850

All canopies have the options I want, which are:
    1. sliding front window.
    2. sliding side windows with screens.
    3. locking rear door.
    4. carpeted interior.

Is there any reason why I should choose 1 over the others? or its it a matter of style preference / price? I'm starting to believe the Leer is a better unit based on reading a few threads on here. Is it that much better than the Raider or Range Rider [has any even heard of these] than I can justify spending the extra $2-400? Also, I called around for ARE quotes, way too expensive around here for some reason, so that brand is out.

If you have any experience with caps, chime in, any input is greatly appreciated. Pictures also. Thanks.

I chose to get the Leer .

The cap I got was the RCC , which is the commercial version of the 100R , but I did choose all of the same options as you except I opted for the removeable front slider .

I found the Leer products seemed to have a good reputation on this forum .

Don't see a lot of Raider Shells around here, but I have seen a couple on CT4WD. Might have something to do with location.

fiberglass is fiberglass. they should all be alike in quality I cannot see that much of a difference in price. at some point you are paying for the name brand.

The last cap I had had no window and a hidden seal around the cab. Do they still make that seal so you can leave the cap window out completely?

Yeah my 100XQ had the "boot" with no window...was horrible on non pavement road, squeaked and go worse when real rough. They make a doughnut thing you can air up if you want to leave the pass thru window open.

I don't agree that fiberglass is fiberglass...certain company's are great with warranties and others leave something to be desired. Additionally there are threads about a brand (i forget) that had similar window issues on several shells. Price difference really happens when you start looking at the add-ons each model has...windows, rear doors, headliner, and roof rack tracks.

I just bought the Vagabond Elite after learning that the same factory makes both the Leer 100XR and the Vagabond Elite. The Leer was $300 more. The shell arrived yesterday and I am taking my truck to be installed Friday. I added the fold down slider and headliner too. Are you in Canada? You should shop around some more. Those prices seem really high if you did not get some sort of sport package or something. I heard that Canadian prices are somewhat higher. You could save about a third if you drive down to the US.
