My little brother had something similar years ago. He didn't remove the windows, but the seal between the topper and cab was very similar to a bicycle inner tube. He would partially fill it with air, position it, then fill it till it wouldn't move. If there was a little squeaking, he would just fill it alittle more. I don't know if it was something he jusst made up or if he bought it with the topper.

    Hope it helps! Good luck.

Thanks!! Any chance you could get in contact with your brother and find out what he used that was like the bicycle inner tube?

Why not just put a rack on top that you can lock the boards into?

My 90 did not have the back window. The boot (seen in pic) kept out all the rain and dirt and worked well. If I were to get a shell today I would not get one with a window. The boot will wear the paint down but you can film that and no one sees that area anyway.

I had on on my gen 1 tacoma. It was a tube that fit around the window of my canopy and truck and then you blew it up with air until it fit tight. Since it was full of air it would flex and stay tight. It did not let any exhaust fumes enter the truck or the canopy, my lab rode in the canopy for hours with no ill affects.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
The tailgate and topper rear window do not seal, neither does the topper itself. It will be noisy if you don't find a removable cab window.

Leer and most of the cap makers offer compression boots. They are not hard to get. Mine was a compression boot. no air needed.Just a fat rubber compressed seal

collapsible surf boards solves all your problem without mutilating your truck or finding a way to install the 4runner sliding glass

haha!! I love the collapsible surfboard idea but unfortunately, those things dont work, at all. surfboards are much harder to make then you would expect.
