Front Rotors

Last year I replaced my front pads on my truck and used raybestos ceramic pad. When I did this the rotors were fine. This year when I hit the brakes I can feel a small shake in the wheel when I apply the brakes. Im assuming the rotors are now warped slightly. The truck has 50k and the rotors were not touched yet. Keep in mind I do live on a mountain area so 50k is great for rotors not being touched.

Is it ok to have them turned, or should I just bite the bullet and replace them. If replaced should I use Toyota rotors? or are aftermarket ok.

When you replace the pads or the rotors. The rotors should be turned and the pads should be new so they can break in together the brakes will last longer and stop better.

 

using the ceramic brake pads may be wearing down your rotors.

i would upgrade the rotors
