Hi all! New to this great forum. 2010 Taco, 4.0 with towing package. Have had a Coleman Yukon pop-up since 96. Looking to move up to a Rockwood Mini-Lite 2304. Dry weight 3519 seems OK, but this model has the Murphy Bed(which the wife likes), that makes the tongue weight on the heavy side, 551#. Truck is rated for 6500# with a tongue weight of 650#. Planning on an Equalizer WD hitch. Any comments will be appreciated.

Welcome to TW! You should be fine with the equalizer hitch, although you may want to beef up the rear springs from the stock 3-leaf packs as they tend to bottom out when loaded.

"Harsh ride" is the term you'll want to use when visiting the dealership to address the problem. Toyota has a 4-leaf TSB pack specifically to address harsh ride complaints. Just a matter of finding a dealer that's willing to work with you to get your case covered under warranty.

is it unrealistic to just offset the tongue weight by putting some bikes or somthing at the backside?

just tryin to think outside the box a bit
