I go offroading a bit 2-3 times a week but when it rains here (Texas) I go mudding and that's what I probably do the most out of anything i use my truck for

All of my vehicles in the past have been cars and I have lowered every one of them. They all had trade-offs. Tire wear, rough ride, etc. Now, I have lifted my Tacoma 2.5" and it has trade-offs as well. The ride is a little bit more harsh but not too harsh. I do have a problem getting my caster adjusted but upper control arms will fix that. I had some vibes from the rear but axle shims solved 95% of that. What I'm saying is that there are enough products out there to correct any issue that you will have after lifting. It may cost a little bit, but in the end it's worth it (to me). But, DO NOT think that you can just lift your truck up and it drive just like it did off the showroom floor. It's not going to happen.

What about a shorter lift? You can get Bilstein 5100's with Eibach coils up front and an AAL in the back for an overall lift of 1.5" +/-. It's cheaper and since you're not going as high, have a better chance of avoiding issues. It's sort of a compromise that gives you a slightly lifted stance but not completely throwing you into that 'off road tinker toy' category. Probably not the best for serious off roading but, like I said, it's a compromise...

toyota spend millions deisigning cars/trucks to ride a certain way.when you alter that, you ruin the factory ride. some can argue thats not true but it is. for daily driving its best to leave it alone
