As you see my remark was in reference to your statement. But your dim-witted remark just causes your level of common sense to be questioned. If your wife were shown how to properly install a car seat, the fact that she weighs 100lbs would not be a factor.

That's funny! I'm dim witted? Sorry if I think your advice isn't fact.
But considering how you seem to think people around you are beneath you? Maybe your dept needs to reconsider you carrying a gun? LOL!!!

Well toku facts they are, feel free disagree. I have nothing to prove to you. And if you thought I was belittling you, I apologize. As for me thinking everyone is beneath me your are mistaken and your making that assumption is in poor character.

As far as character? I've been around a long time on these forums, and I have a fairly good track record.
It's all good! I understand how easy it is to come across in the wrong way on the internet.

I'm sure both of us were trying to help.
    Peace!;)

    comming soon!
Had the same problem as the OP until I did this:
    1. recline the front seat
    2. attach both sides of the tether to the anchor points in the seat
    3. press down on the child seat while at the same time pulling the strap tight (child seat will still feel loose after this)
    4. pull up on the recline handle and the passenger seat will snug up tightly on the child seat.
    5. attach rear tether
    6. turn off passenger airbag and your GTG :)

It's fixed. Patio chair cushion did the trick. No slop anymore. [IMG]

Just found out I have TWINS on the way... does anyone know if you can safely fit TWO rear facing car seats in a double cab? Keep in mind I am over 6'1". I don't mind being a little crowded, but I don't know if it's even possible...

You can it two just fine without any safety issues. Just do yourself a favor and check with with either your local law enforcement, fire departments, or hospitals to get a lesson on properly installing a child seat. One of these agencies should have trained personnel who can show you how.

Since the amount of space is a key issue here does anyone have any suggestions on which seats will fit the best in an access cab? I was looking for the smallest possible rear facing seat since we will have a baby in June.

    Thanks!

Just had this issue (have since upgraded to double-cab as the child gets bigger). Keep in mind that even with the smallest rear-facing seat, reclined, the passenger seat will be only usable for very small people. There won't be much leg room. My wife, who's 5'1" found it too close to the glove box/dash.

This is the only seat that I could find that would fit back there...
