    Old bump!

Anyone run one of these? I realize the other mod is cheaper but I'm curious?

No shit? Won't pop loose when in water etc? Was thinking it might not be tight enough? Seems like its sealed so it wouldnt "breathe" like an open one. But is wouldnt cause damage to the diff right?

Also, I haven't searched but does the front diff and tranny or anything else need relocating?

I've had it thru every condition you can think of. Submerged, mud, snow, desert heat and never had a problem. Held on by a hose clamp so its not going anywhere. It has enough air inside it to 'breathe' as needed. I sprayed my diff with water once after a long highway run on a hot day and I could see it retract slightly. I just changed my rear diff oil a couple weeks ago after about 30000m and it was fine, other than a little darker from use, but not contaminated at all.
Front diff lines run up to the engine bay next to/below the battery, two lines with metal caps on the end. I don't think there is one on the tranny.

well what are you trying to do? make deep crossings? then they all need to be re-routed, but you also need to seal ECU, di-electric connection, raise intake, swap to an electric fan, etc.

I suppose if you are just planning on going to your axels, the Rear diff is the only one you need, but any deeper, and you need to do them all...no point in doing one and leaving the rest...also, just remember, nomatter what you do, a gasoline engine does not like water (esp with modern electronics)

Could someone explain what the 2 breathers are for in the engine bay next to the battery?

No deep crossings, mainly just up to the axel! I'll read up on it more but just noticed most people re-route the rear diff and call it a day!

    x2 on the nice build!
