Anyone with a Fold-A-Cover

Has anyone had the windrails not stick on the back of the bed rails. Installed my cover yesterday. Cleaned the bed rails with alcohol and adhesion promoter then mounted the rails. Today when I went to put the front and back seals on I noticed a gap between the windrails and bed rails about 6"-8" long on both sides at the back. It was about 72*-74* when I installed the rails. It looks like the rails have bowed up a little pulling the tape lose.

Was it cold when you put them on? I put mine on during a nice sunny day and they have been great. Never had a problem with them.

No, it was 72-74 degrees on the thermometer.

Installed mine in 75 degree weather. So far, no side rail slippage. They were tricky to align though. I read a different thread and a commentator said his pulled up and he used rivets to secure it to the truck bed. A bit extreme but it may be better than possibly damaging the rails trying to remove them.

Mine was in the 70's

I installed mine in the 70's, it did ok (alignment was a pain).
Have you tried putting a weight on top and running a heat gun on both sides of the rails to warm up the glue a bit? I'd do it soon beofe dust and dirt get in there...

After a day in the mid 80's everything seems to be fine. Not sure the tape is stuck but the gaps are gone. I bought new tape and adhesion promoter to re-do it but I think I'll wait and see how it does.

I used the box my hitch came in to support the cover while I aligned the rails. It was the perfect height. It kept the weight off the rails so they could be positioned without turning down causing gaps between the cover and rails.
