It's the new anti-theft measure. Make people think it's a ranger and they will leave it alone.

The Toyota dealership won't honor his warranty due to mods...he's trying a different tactic for some warranty work.

It's you. If Simon's Mom says she took the photo, she took the photo. It is a pretty poor photo though.

um....I am not really into photoshop and would go to all this trouble to post a pic on a tacoma forum just for the heck of it. I just thought it was funny when I saw it in the store parking lot near my house.

And for the record...the dude actually lives around the corner from me as I discovered today coming back from the dog park....I had seen it before around town and thought to myself, "self, that truck doesn't have a Ford emblem on there does it? I must be seeing things". But alas it does, front and on the tailgate.

He's an older gentleman and owns one of those new Ford Mustangs as it was parked next to the truck. Mystery solved.

If it was a pre-Tacoma you could argue that he did a Ford 302 swap which would be pretty sweet. But seeing that its newer I doubt it has a V8 swap. An oval Ford badge never looked so good.
