West Virginia 2nd gen lift question

Does anybody (preferrably someone from WV) have any experience with
local shops in WV for lift installation?

All shops say they will install 5100s and other lift kits on a tacoma, but I am skeptical that most have worked on second gen tacomas.

If anyone has any recommendations, I'm listening!

hey man i am from WV and its EASY to install kits on the 2nd gen what part of WV you from?

 

Morgantown clarksburg region.
The major issues involve compressing the springs for the 5100s, and having the appropriate tools.
There are a ton of lifted rams and f150s, but I don't see many tacomas with lift kits. My concern is the shops that will do it have minimal experience, and will fuck up my truck...

Thanks for the offer, but this is one of those items that I think is better off installed by professionals. I would be more willing to install the rears, but a review of lots of threads here shows that it isn't that straight forward.
I might give wheeling tire a call, they are a bit of a drive, but we have limited options here

 

any good mech shopp could install the 5100s its the same thing as replacing a bad strut on a car shouldnt cost to much either

 

So I just wanted to update this thread for anyone in the future searching for a shop for installation.
In the end I went with the speedshop in clarksburg/bridgeport because their rates were competitive and it was the closest place to my work.

I was definitely a little concerned because they would only quote me a 60 dollar/hr shop rate, and wouldn't actually give me an estimate of the cost for the 5100 install up front. I said it should be a 2 hour job (that was what I was quoted at 3 other places).
I would have to say overall I wouldn't ever go back based on the very rude owner. He said numerous times the shop rate was 60/hr and he doesn't charge for 15 min over etc... and my truck was in there for just over an hour, with a final pretax cost of 159.00. When I questioned him on it he started yelling and berating me! I wasn't rude about it but I simply was concerned by the strange final price. After making excuses etc he finally noticed that his employee had wrote 159 instead of 150. He said he was charging me 2.5 hours for 1.5 hrs work because he had 2 guys the worked on the truck.
Now I have worked for a mechanics shop back in my high school years, and so I know some basic shop policies etc...but the rule of thumb then was if 2 guys work on a project and get it done faster, that means they can move onto the next job and thus the net billing works out with twice as many customers.

So to make a long story short, I paid 150 for the 5100 install, got yelled at, then had to go get a 80 dollar alignment for a final cost of 230 (which is close to the other quotes of around 200 bucks with alignment).

Shoulda made the drive to wheeling tire.....you live and learn.
