ivan stewart wheels

so i picked up a set of ivan stewart wheels and bfg all terrains. the clear coat was coming off the edge of the wheels, so i sanded them all down, and am in the process of plasti-dipping the lips of all the wheels, what do you guys think about that? i just barely put one coat on one wheel before i had to leave for work, but will try to take pics tonight when i get home.

Why not just mask off the tires and use regular paint? Paint is way more durable than plastidip.

Mehhh.... I know a lot of guys on here paint their wheels, and thinks its cool because you can touch them up, but nothing will be near as strong as powdercoating them man, I just did a set and could not be happier. They don't "Paint" OEM wheels, they are all a powder type finish. Its the strongest

^ Ugly. ITs too Shiny. Paint it a Satin Black with Matte Clear so its not flat but in the middle with no gloss. I like the whole blacked out look but NOT gloss. Love the Red TRD logo on the black rim. Once you get the right black, its going to be nice on your TACO.

They don't look bad but I say go get them powdercoated and be done with it. Also, go the extra mile, remove the valve cores and all the allen nuts on them before you do anything. It will give them a nice "finished" look when you're done. Those are nice looking wheels btw.

How about take out the allen's around the perimeter, spray them with satin black Rustoleum then put the allens back along with chrome lug nuts. That would look hot with those wheels.
