So, I should be starting as a cable contractor again soon and I will need to carry a 28ft ladder on the truck. Just wondering if anyone else is doing this and if so cand I get a pic of the ladder rack you are using and specs (price, name, where you got it ect) Much appreciation.

You might want to consider a headache rack , it is much easier to carry long lengths on the rack and tailgate rather than a ladder rack .

With a 5' bed your rack rails will be about 4'8" apart leaving you 6 ' canteleivering past either end , can you say roof dents .

Yeah, I know its gonna be a stretch. Maybe if I ratchet strap the ladder down It might not go anywhere.

I use it mostly to haul around a kayak, which works great.
