How do you install OEM hood scoop?

    does anyone know where I can find a thread or website or something on how to actually install the scoop insert into the hood or even the entire hood replacement? I've tried searching for it and couldn't find anything...:(

    I think you are misunderstanding. The whole hood comes with 4 parts, the hood, the scoop insert, the guide, and the plate. As I understand it they need to be attached with bolts or something and I do not know the size or anything. Thanks.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    the insert has 4-5 10mm bolts that go through the hood and attach w/ nuts ont he bottom. then there is also one phillips head screw that attaches as well from the engine side of the hood into the insert.

    Alright, thanks. You don't happen to know the lengths of those do you or is 10mm the length (if so what is the width)? Or is there a place I can look that up at?

    sorry...should have read that they are 10mm nuts. not sure of the length/size of the bolts.
