I finally installed my skid plate yesterday after polishing here and there during the winter. It's really hard to get a picture to show how it actually looks like since you get a mirror image of the ground that seem to show more on a camera. I might of polished it to much lol. My next project is to paint my stock wheels to look like the photoshoped pic that follows. What do you guy's think.

    Thank you
    Reg

That's one shiny skid plate ya got there! As far as the photoshoped wheels I think they'd look better all black.

    Bone Stock.....for now.
Skid plate looks good, but I honestly don't think you're gonna get the result you think you will painting the wheels. Kinda looks "poser" to me. Paint them black or just keep them the way they are.

It took awhile. The hardest was to remove the powder coat. I tried different things but the best result was from using aircraft paint remover. I then sand it down with 2000 grit sandpaper always in the same direction and then finished it with a buffing wheel using mothers polish. There might be over 50 hours in total but it was nothing like when I did my ATV. See Pics below.

I suppose you would not approve of plasti-dipping tires, either?

Why in the world would you plasti-dip your tires?

On the other hand, plasti-dipping wheels makes quite a bit of sense if they're non-alloy, or you just like to be able to touch up your battle scars quickly.

That is some impressive work. Good job VPolish.
    The quad is mind boggling.
Can't wait to see what you do with the wheels

That was pretty much the response I had when I saw a recent thread titled to that effect. You must not have had the pleasure of seeing that one. I was pointing out a similar lack of utility...
