Ok i wasn't sure where to put this since i'm not really sure what it relates to. While driving there is a low ticking noise ONLY while accelerating. It doesn't exist when i am at a steady speed. I thought it may be the diff not completely disengaging but i've cycled through 4h, 4l, and back to 2h several times and it doesn't change anything. I don't notice the noise during 4WD but it could be because there is much more noise from the front end while using it. This noise is coming from the front only and i can't really hear it coming from outside the truck as the noise coming in my window is too loud to hear it. Does anyone have any ideas??? I'm at a loss!

So long as the tick doesn't progress into a loud BOOM, decimating everything in its vicinity, you probably shouldn't worry too much about it ;)

I don't notice any substantial tick from my 4.0, but that's just me...
