rear gearing help

i was trying to find out what gearing my 06 4.0 dc prerunner
and if there is a shorter gearing so i can have better highway mpg?
on the highway im at about 2300-2400rpm doing around 80mph?

plz help, i dont do any wheelin and im on the road all day.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

LOL you truck is like a drag chute the aerodynamics are so bad... the sloution is not driving 80 mph... try 55.

Or trade it in for a fuel efficient car. Or go with the smaller engine ( I don't really know much about it but I would imagine it gets better gas mileage).

it is impossible for my lead foot to do 55, its hard enough to do 70 behind a semi. im on a tight schedule all day so i cant go slow.

ill look in to a scangauge but dont have much money right now.

If your on a tight schedule try to space things out a bit more, start earlier or something. The best thing you can do to improve mpg is slow your roll, otherwise its never going to happen...sorry.

To be honest, I have a 45 minute drive to school everyday. I leave at the same time and if I drive 5-10 mph quicker, I dont really make it there any faster. The only time I see a drastic time change from going quick is on long trips.
