4 kids ran across the street and car in front of me locked all 4 wheels up and left me with no where to go but into the back of his car. Early estimates were around 9k but I expect it to be a little less. There does not seem to be any frame damage. The good news is I will get all new lights and a new grill which will help when my lease is up in a few months.

Accident happened on Monday night but I have been out of town since then and just got around to posting.

The kids ran across the street in front of the car that was in front of me. He slammed his brakes and I had a split second to do the same. End result was me running into the back of his car which was a red Buck which explains the red on the bumper. The little ghetto kids are all fine but they did get a good tongue lashing from me.

For the most part I am fine except for minor back issues. The people in the other car were not fully insured and I expect some kind of legal actions from them.

Truck is already broken down in the shop and waiting for parts to be put back together. It just sucks that it happened.

Sucks for you, but I always drive as though the person in front of me is going to spill coffee in their lap, slam on their brakes for a squirrel or some kid's going to go chasing a football into the street.

Around here, we have all kinds of people that think left turn from the right lane is perfectly OK (with the wife and kids in the car) and a friendly wave is all it takes to 'make it right'. Or that 20 in a 50 is OK too. But the thing is if you leave enough following distance (even if you don't), some one of them is gonna try and wedge 10 pounds of poo in a 5 pound space.

The good news is everyone is OK and it's only stuff that's broken.
