Just a bunch of old crap
I hope my truck kills me. It's where I want to die anyways. And, I wouldn't feel too bad taking a few extra humans with me, being that there's a surplus and whatnot.

Spoken in laymens terms for a laymen.

Ironically, I come from several generations of Union Iron Wrokers (Local 155 Fresno CA) and am an A&P mechanic (Aviation and Powerplant) so I understand a fair amount of the discusisons that have transpired over the last several hours. I'm getting a chuckle reading most of them.

I understand that there MAY BE laws that frown upon such a modification here in the US and that I MAY BE liable IF an accident occurs which can be DIRECTLY linked to my modification.

I do appreciate this insight and am willing to take that responsibility becuase precautions to limit such an occurance will of couse be taken.

My concern is whether the advantages to weld far out-weigh the advantages of bolt on. It seems a draw is in order. Since I do not ever plan on selling this truck, I don't mind making more permenant mods. As such, I will probably go with the weld.

Please continue the rant as it is quite comical. :poking:

welding them on isnt permanent...however, if you buy the bolt ons that are on the market, you will be drilling ~30 holes (for the AP ones). unless you fill the holes after you remove them, the holes are more permanent than taking a grinder to the welds.
