2013 Scion FR-S Whiteout

Anyone heard of this? I searched and all I found was a few threads about new years lol. So far I have seen 2 NYE Edition badged 2nd gen Tacoma's. The badge is on the front fender below and forward of the mirror.

What does this mean?

Edit: both have been here on Kodiak Island....possibly an Alaska dealer package.
