On page 107 of this thread (after all my searching) says that BSP was from 05-10. Is this right? Mine is a 2011 and I know it's Black. My friend has a 2009 Sport and it looks the same color as mine.

Not a life saving question. Just figured this is the place to post it. Thanks

I thought the Black color started in 2012. I could have sworn Black Sand Pearl was for 2005-2011

I'm really not sure which year started straight black but I know the new black looks better when not clean. After a wax they may be the same, but when dirty my bsp looks awful and dingy. Every newer black taco I see looks good every time. But that could just be me

Same here. Especially in the desert. It's always dusty and hard to keep clean for more than a week. Whenever I wash it I have to use a spray wax after. The water is so hard that even after I dry it with microfiber cloths the waterspots are still there. My next truck will most likely be white. I don't mind washing it often, it's the drying, waxing, and window cleaning I have to do after every wash that gets annoying.

Mine is a 2011 and it's for sure Black. BSP must be 2005-2010. I guess I need to see my buddy's Tacoma in the sunlight. Because they looked the same in the evening/night.

Edit: my main reason for the question was we were going to do some rear bumper swapping. But I'm not sure how a BSP would look on my Black.

I have a WTB thread looking for a Black rear sport bumper. If anyone wants to upgrade to an armor I'll buy the OEM one.

I gotta look at his bumper again. He told me it was a 2009 but it looked black. After reading more about BSP ill need to see it in the day light. My black color doesnt change at all. But ya'll with BSP sounds like anything from blue, green, or shiny black.

Mine seems to have a lot of large green flake in direct sunlight. I bought a BSP grille years ago and although it's not an exact match, it's close enough. Better than the chrome!

Well there you go. A 2009 and its BSP. Looks just like my friend truck. I really can't see the difference in BSP and Black. But I'm sure in direct sunlight it's probably noticeable.

From a few feet away (or with a cellphone pic) you really don't see the metal flake much, unless it's freshly washed and waxed. Next to each other though, you can definitely tell the difference between BSP and black.

When I got the camper shell used, I had to find a BSP one which took a while. It was well worth an extended search on CL and the 4 hour drive to Atlanta though...I love the camper shell and the cargo bed slide the guy threw into the deal! :D

A bsp bumper on a black truck shouldn't matter at all. If it worries you though, I will take a bsp bumper!

I gotta say....I had some regrets after purchasing my 13' in black.....but I am growing to like it more and more. Even when it isn't fully clean and polished.
