5100's expert help please!!

09 reg cab, super white, 2.7l 4 banger. I want a lift to comfortably fit 33's and am resulting to the bilstein 5100's for ride quality too.
I have a list of questions before i purchase these guys:
1. how big can i set them before i have to get new UCA's?
2. at that height, can i fit 33's without trimming?
3. If trimming is necessary, does anyone have a link to a thread with trimming instructions? i cant seem to find any
4. if anyone had any experience with the 5100's, please share!

you can set them at 2.75 w/o going with new UCA's although your truck will perform better with new UCA's. With the 33's you will probably need to re-gear from 410 to 456 if you stick with 32's you should be good with 410's

 

You will need to trim and chop the cab mount. You can chop the cab mount with a $20 grinder with a cut off wheel in it.

Boxing it back in is recommended but not a necessity. Any monkey with a mig welder can do that.

 

5100s are only adjustable up to 2.5"...not 2.75

thanks guys. i think i might just go with setting the billys at 1.75" and gettin some 33" BFG muds. because im hearing at less than 2" i dont need a new UCA right away. time to trim it up!!!

 

i dont think that you can fit 33's with only 1.75" lift. not even with 3 inches unless you do some chopping

 

dude you won't need new UCAs if you stay at 2.5" or under...


and 33" tires WON'T fit with only 1.5" of lift...you'd have to do ALOT of cutting!

 

I spoke with beef taco no rice and he fit 33's with only a leveling kit and a little trimming?
