Hey guys! Love the site, I've gotten quite a lot of great ideas from the outstanding members here. I don't know if this is allowed, but I'd like to post what I'm looking to do to my vehicle and maybe get some advice on routes, manufacturers, etc.

Starting Build: 2011 Tacoma Off-Road (TX)

    • (NOV 2010) Only aftermarket modification done so far was just to pop off the Toyota Emblem and paint it black.

    UPDATED - 24AUG2011

At this time, had thrown bed-liner on the lower valence, done a color-matched Satoshi grille and completely debadged with the exception of the "Toyota" in the grille. Also have Weathertech floor liners and a few interior mods (Mounting flashlight, knife, etc.). Saving up the $$$ for more!

What I'd Like to Do (In order of precedence):

    • Paint outer grill (White) - DONE
    • Paint or cover lower valance (Black) - DONE
    • Install Satoshi Grill Mod - DONE
    • Install Westin side-step bars (Black)
    • Replace stock hood with scooped hood
    • Paint rear bumper (White)
    • Install row of 3 Hella 700Fs
    • Install Bilstein 5100 shocks; Level front at 1.75"
    • GY Wrangler Duratrac 265/75 Tires
    • Front winch bumper (Long way down the road)
I realize this is quite an ambitious list, but this will be a several year process and I've put some easy, cheap stuff up front in my priority list. I love working on vehicles and engines, etc but I just need to put some money away before I can justify some of the more expensive items here. I also plan on doing as much of this myself as I can.

Any advice, comments, concerns, insults, are welcome!

Nice ride. I don't have any photos of mine yet. But I have the same model and working on a Satoshi grille mod myself. I bought a 05-10 OEM grille, which is a lot easier to cut out than the 2011. Waiting on the grille mesh and light bar and just primed the grille which will get painted this weekend. So far the most challenging has been color matching the grille surround. The automotive paint store had 14 different options to try and match super white 040. Looks decent, and I can live with it but I wish it was a little closer match. I'm going to try and get some 3M shield installed which will hopefully improve the match since the 3M is already on the hood etc. Anyway, good luck with your project and have some fun.

Nice looking truck. I want to get my lower valanced painted also. What rims do you have on your truck? Did you paint the bedlockers all black?
