How long do u think it would take? I have a new born so time is at a premium. I'm hoping to get the intake and new spark plugs install inside three hours. Wishful thinking?

Removal of the stock unit is pretty easy just make sure you unplug/detach everything including the little FPR hose in the rear. I would advise you to wait until the stock air unit is completely out of the truck then remove the MAF sensor just in case you drop or lose it.

Where in SOcal are you? PM if you need help i've removed mine 10+ times so i can pretty much do it asleep. :)

Thanks for the offer, my only issue is I can't plan ahead for when I can work on the truck. When the kid decides to sleep I start working and when she wakes up I have to drop what I'm doing and watch her. Shes a very needy baby...

If it is an oiled filter go light on the oil.
I usually let it sit with some paper towels stuffed in it to suck out any extra oil.
It will get on the MAF and make life crappy.
Take your time and fit it all together before clamping down the bands to make sure it is all together properly.

All done, thanks everyone... And for anyone who may see this thread in the future... Get some silicon spray for lubing the tubes. I almost lost a finger nail trying to push it in.

I remembered you had an AFE intake before the TRD.

Any reason why you made the switch?

It sounds good at fot and not much with normal driving which is perfect. I have one last question, is the filter pre oiled? The direction saids nothing about oiling other then during the next cleaning. Btw I put about 100 miles on the truck today and no issues other then the ac taking alot longer then normal to get cold. Any thoughts on this? I figured it was because I moved the ac line during install.
