Just got my 08 Taco about a month ago .... only has 800 miles on it. Called the dealer today about the TSB and they gave me no problems. They are installing the new ones tomorrow.

Just got my truck back from the dealer. The truck looks a little higher off the ground in the back and seems more responsive. i can feel the difference. the most from stop and go. No sagging from the rear

Does this TSB apply to Access Cab 2wh drive models as well? I have a 2007 Access Cab. The last TSB mentioned only 4x4 and Pre-runners.

    Thanks

I asked the same question 2 pages back. Is yours a 5 lug model? Not much interest around here for the base 5 luggers. I am calling the dealer to find out. Let me know if you find out, and I will do the same.

Just got mine done. Nice new 4 packs on the back, full alignment, etc.... Rides good. Can hardly tell it's stiffer when unloaded. Now to go grab another 1000 lbs of stone to test it out.

I thought with the trd you only needed the rear springs thus not needing alignment? i just got my rear springs 4 leaf put on my rugged trail 2008 acc cab and i dont see on the invoice where they would need to do alignment. Do they state that on the ivoice that alignment was done?

So, btw, did you call Toyota first and then a dealership called you, or did you go directly to the dealership?

I think they're gonna give me the run around tomorrow...

Post #1 has a copy of the TSB. It states to check or adjust the alignment. They may not have done it if its not on the invoice. But they should get a printout from the alignment machine.
They can't give you a run around as long as your vehicle qualifies and you complain about a 'Harsh Ride'. Check it out in the first post. This TSB is due to 'customer complaint', not what anyone at the dealership has to say about anything.

Since the springs change the height of the rear of the truck the alignment should be checked. Mine ended up not needing any kind of adjustment though, all the numbers were in the good range. They provided me with the printout to show it.

I just went straight into the dealership and mentioned that I had been hauling stone (which I had) and that the rear was pretty much riding on the bump stops. I then brought up the TSB. The service rep called Toyota and a few days later my parts were on order.
