Sound Problem in Stock Radio with Satellite Radio

My sound that I get while on FM is a lot louder compared to XM sound. Is there something that can be done? You almost have to turn the volume all the way up to hear the sound.

 

Make sure the volume is all the way up on the sat unit. usually they re-set everytime you turn off the vehicle, so you have to crank it up on each use.

Big pain when you switch back to CD or regular tuner as you could blast your head off with volume!

Sounds like you need to add an inline amplifier to boost the volume.

 

Had the same problem when using the AUX input. The Sound Shocker passive inline amp from PHPaudio.com did the trick. Instead of having to turn the volume up to 45 to hear anything, I can now listen normally at 25-30.

 

so this will work in a factory stereo?
