Well, one of the perils of working for a Toyota Dealer is that you can fall in love with a new truck, come up with a thousand excuses as to why you need that truck, such as:
    1. I cant lift my leg to operate the clutch when its cold out
    2. The ashtray is full
3 The gas gauge reads empty
    4 the tires are worn
5 damn i just want a new truck

I just bought an 07 access cab v6 automatic

WOW - Talk about a switch!!!

What all did you get different on this one (aside from upgrading to a V6 and Auto and AccessCab)??? It looks like it is atleast an SR5 if not a TRDOffRoad.

Did you already move over all your mods!?!?! Damn that's fast!

[IMG]well, first of all, i suffer from sever back problems from way back, (no pun intended) try shifting with pain going down your left leg, it becomes unbearable and takes the fun out of driving. so in reality, I had no choice here but to change over to automatic.

Now, how many of you can say that you were able to set up your new truck, detail it, do it where you work, and get paid to do it??
As far as having a rear camera, that came with the navigation unit that I transferred from the red truck to this one. I plan on putting on a cap again and thats why I have that rear camera. I still have to transfer over the FJ wheels from the red truck to the new one along with a few other things that were not part of the trade.

The owner of the dealership thought my truck was bland so we did some work on it today......installed the FJ cruiser TRD wheels from my old truck onto the new one. Surprisingly, the tire inflation light did NOT come on since we didnt install the air pressure sensors on these wheels from the stock wheels. They used my truck to install graphics as a test before they started installing them on other Tacomas and Trundas

The FJ series TRD wheels will fit any Toyota 6 lug truck. The wheels come with center caps and 6 lug nuts each. If your wheels have pressure sensors, you will have to install them on these wheels. Be careful doing so, as they are approx $200 ea if you break one plus the cost of reprograming at the dealership. You will notice though, the new style 07 Tundra is now a 5 lug 16" 17" and 18" wheel now, previously a 6 lug 16" stock. You can buy these wheels at any toyota dealership at about 125 + or -.

My truck came with sensors on the wheels and we figured that if I installed the FJ wheels which did not have the sensors, the low air warning light would remain lit. However, by some stroke of good luck, the light never did come on but couldnt figure out why it didnt. Talking with the tech at work, I found out that he never programed or set it up during the pdi which was a good thing.

So you're saying the light won't come on at all because the dealer did not initially do the program? Would like to know if this is true, because my understanding is the TPMS is now Federal law, and to disable or not set by the dealer would seem to be illegal.

I installed FJ wheels about 2 months ago on my Tacoma, and I've had the light come on twice. I have purchased new sensors for the FJ wheels and will be installing them soon, but it would have been nice just to disable the system altogether.

Point well taken. I talked to the tech again about this tpms and we are puzzled by it. There is a switch below the steering column kick panel area with a inflation icon on it. Quite small, tucked in the kick panel. I beleive that is used to set it up, but dont quote me on this just yet. The spare tire still has the tpms in it, so atleast that one tire is still sending a signal. From my very little understanding of this setup, I would think the tpms would need 5 signals total to work correctly. So I really have no clue as to why the light didnt go on. In the Toyotanation forum, they found a way to disconnect this setup, illegal or not, they are doing it. I must point out one other thing here, lol.............that is, I cut the tags off upholstry and that is illegal too! lmao!.

Had to do an update on this inflation light deal. After 200 miles on the truck, the inflation light finally started blinking on startup. After a few min, light remained on solid until i shut the truck off 1.6 miles from the house to work. Restarted at lunchtime and light did not come back on again until the next morning. My conclusion is that, set up or not, the inflation light indicator will come on and that I have two solutions to taking care of this. First one is to install the sensors in all the wheels again, or go to this other toyota forum and find the thread that tells you how to disconnect it. The 2 cent solution would be to just ignore the light, no biggie since the original wheels and tires are going back on the truck in the wintertime anyways.
