Valve Ticking after First Oil Change?

Is it normal for a louder valve ticking after my first oil change at 4K??? They used convential Mobil oil but the ticking seems louder.

 

its not the valves, I think it's some part of the emissions equipment that ticks on the 2nd gens. Basically its probably all in your head

I thought the same the same on my 07' I forgot about it now. What everyone else already said.

 

Your motor is probably toast. Get a new one.

 

It is known for v6's to tick I thought the same thing when i bought my 2006 , and my 11 but they still haven't fixed that prob. I just put synthetic in and know its cool

 

if it blows up its under warranty

 

What brand filter and what weight oil was used for the oil and filter change?

 

I think it is prety normal, I have a slight tick that i got to quiet down some by using the rubber washer method noted here somewhere on TW. Its all good!!
