Need Advice with scratched displays-Please

I just recently purchased my 2006 Tacoma double cab TRD. I love the Truck and everything about it but I seem to have a problem with certain display surfaces. The clear plastic that covers the stock stereo display, the dashboard clock and the plastic cover for the tachometer have a weird blurry finish to them. I have tried cleaning them with window cleaner and even tried to polish the plates but they still look fuzzy. I do not want to replace everything but would appreciate any advice anyone could give.

 

They may be scratched beyond repair. Someone may know of a way to help reduced the effects of the scratches.

BTW, never use glass cleaner on plastic gauges. I had a 4 runner with the same gauges and was advised to use a computer dust sprayer to remove lint and dust and then if absolutely necessary use a microfiber towel with just water.

 

I use Turtle Wax Interior care. It's in a blue colored squeeze bottle... Works awesome.

 

for now....you can try some mothers or meguiars plast-x or plastic cleaner/polish to try to remove the scratches, then maybe just buff them with a microfiber towel. like shark said...never use glass cleaner on the plastic gauges....they will fade really bad.

Not to insult your intelligence, but did you remove the 'protective sheet' off of them? I can't imagine them getting that bad on a newer vehicle!? +1 for megiuars plastic cleaner though... works well. I use it in conjunction with 2000 grit sandpaper on my badly scratched CDs. Works like new
