When I posted this it was from my personal experience. In TENN, where I lived for a time I got stuck up in the boone docks while hunting. Had to call for a tow, driver could not make it up the grade, so had to pay him and he had to call someone else.
In the process of me trying to get unstuck I ate up two rear wheels (rocks) and tore open two tires. In the process of lifting me out, a hole was put in the oil pan, bent the bumper, and a baseball size dent in the rear panel.
When everything was added up I could of got a 4x4 package. True, it may not of helped, but then you never know. I'm alot smarter now, but not as good looking.
No matter what you have, even a M60A1 tank, you can still get it stuck.

wow.... Good story there. And yeah, you can get a 4wd stuck too. Which is why I use 2wd until I get stuck. Then I have the rear locker and/or 4hi to get out. If that doesn't work I still have 4Lo and my Hi-Lift jack. So there's lots of options for me to try once I'm stuck in 2wd. If you only have 2wd then......well.......you're fucked. The only option left is winch, tow truck, or calling a buddy with a truck and rope or recovery strap. And unless one of those options is with you at the time you're stuck there until someone shows up. In my experience that's usually HOURS later.

It's all about having options available to try before calling AAA or a buddy for help! And hoping that A.) you can reach one of the two -and- B.) they can find you! :D

Actually I think the 33s look just fine. My friend has a 6" with 33s and I think it looks good. I already had some 305/70-17s on my old truck so I decided to use those when I got my 6" and am happy with them. It is the equivilent to a 34", they also look good. I'd also go with the 4x4, I did. I know I will rarely use it, but that one time I need it Ill have it.
