sap spots cannot be washed off easily-how to clean

I have some sap spots where a tree dropped its buds on my new tacoma (not sure what type of tree the spots are from but I think a cotton wood poplar). The sap spots are not washing off easily. Does anyone have experience with this or recommendations of how to remove the sap? Thank-you.

 

Give a clay bar a shot

 

X2 Claybar. Might try a Bug and Tar spray to soften it up.

 

What type of car wash are you using? I just had a ton on mine the other day after parking under a Maple tree. It came right off with Meguiars NXT wash. I followed up with a clay bar to remove any it left behind. Good as new. Good luck.

Yeah, bug and tar remover. The sooner the better.

You know they (used to) make glue out of tree sap, right?

 

Warm water and WD-40 will do the trick, I speak from experience

 

Another vote for the clay bar

 

Clay bar will make it like glass. I'm waiting till the sap stops dropping and the pollen stops covering the truck. I figure if I do it too soon I'll just have to do it again a week or two later.

 

Piss on them. Works for athletes feet and tree sap.
