I have read a number of threads/posts about tailgates being bent/damaged from moderate loads.

Has this problem been corrected on the 2011 models, or do I need to be looking for ways to reinforce my tailgate?

I havnt heard of anything being significantly changed in the past few years but I may be wrong, If I am im sure Ill be corrected.

Also if people put so much weight on there tail gate and it causes it to bend, you obviously shouldnt be putting that much weight on any tail gate in the first place.

    Just my $.2 cents

I climb on/ stand on mine. I probably wouldn't jump up and down or let someone real heavy sit there.

I've been trucking my 600 pound ATV in the back of my '11 with no issues. I load it by using alum ramps supported by the tailgate.

I just hauled 20 bags of mulch from Lowes the other day in my 08, and I had to sit on the tailgate to reach the ones in the front. For most people that's no biggie..... I weigh in at 275. Nothing unusual to report other than I picked the hottest damn day of the year to get the gardens mulch.
