CA Sales Tax...save hundreds!!

Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy anything expensive within the next couple weeks in CA....effective July 1st, 2011 CA state sales tax will drop about 1%. Check your local county to see what your new effective sales tax rate will be.

1%??? It's not much but I guess it's better than nothing!

 

I work in retail and there was a memo about it last week or so. It's also posted on CA.gov. 1% isn't much but if someone were to purchase a vehicle, they could be saving a few hundred dollars

So the state is still going broke, still suffering from the housing bust, still spending millions on welfare and the cost of illegals and they LOWER sales tax...

 

Dang!!! That would have saved me about $400. Every bit helps. That's a set of sliders right there!

It sounds good, but what will they raise elsewhere to compensate for the loss in revenue, this state has always been shifty with taxes.


My choices for increases to compensate:

1) Alcohol sales tax
2) State texting tax
3) Condom sales tax
4) Toyota Tacoma road toll tax...
