I think the confusion on this thread is with the word drop. By dropping the diff, Krookz meant removing the diff...it sounds like hashemg thought drop meant adding a drop kit...correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, that's what I mean. Drop as in take out, do your work, put back in. Like... drop the transmission to change a clutch.

I mean the same thing........

Dropping the Diff out of the truck is not the problem....onece the diff is out you have to gut out the 4.10 from the diff and reinstall the 4.88....thats where the expensive labor comes into play.
