Size thread for the tailgate cable bolt

    ya know...the cable that connects from the tail gate to the bed..that bolt appears to be a 5/16 and since I have no bedsides, I have nothing to screw into. When I attempted to use my 5/16 coarse thread nut, the thing screws a little bit and then get damn near impossible. I also tried a fine thread..same thing. I am using a small bolt that doesn't have thread all the way up temporarily but me no like :mad:

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    It's metric fine thread. It's f'd now. You'll have to run the right size tap in it to fix it. Look on the dealer parts guide to find it.
