Finally got the Taco dirty!

After 3 months of ownership, today I finally got the opportunity to get her dirty. I took her up and down some steep levies, bounced around a couple of mud holes, drove about 20 miles of narrow dirt trails and did a small river crossing. Sucks that I was alone so I had to stop to take a few pics.

The Taco is so much more of an off roader than my Z71. I think the Silverado was simply so big it always got in its own way.

This new truck reminds me of how much I loved my old Toyota 1994 4x4 22RE pick up. That thing could go over or through just about anything. The new truck feels the same way. I climbed a few patches of Earth today in 2WD with the ALSD active and the thing was awesome. My Chevy would have to be in 4x4 mode to do the same. I even climbed a long run of concrete stairs to a remote levy pump house today in 2WD with the ALSD switched on. Only time I engaged the 4x4 mode today was mud and water crossings.

Hey GuapOh what bars are you running? Looking for something like what you have. And where is a good place to shop for Bars and stuff like that.

By the way the mud looks good

 

I purchased the N-Fab/Smittybilt bars from Autoanything.com. The bars were roughly $280 and a snap to install.
