I love my ARB. I have hit rocks, Slid into big ass trees, And if a deer runs out<<<<ROAD KILL>>>> If the Relentless was available a week after ordering I would have gone that route. Overall i am happy with the purchase.

    1. Alumness is slightly more expensive than All-Pro or Relentless, due to higher material cost and (maybe) greater welding time.
    2. If bent or dented, it cannot be repaired easily. You can't bend aluminum back and expect it to retain the same strength. Most collision shops cannot weld aluminum.

Personally I would get a baja-style bumper instead if weight is a concern. Most designs are very efficient (triangulated tube frame with sheetmetal close-out panels) and easy to repair.

I had an iron bull bumper on my truck. It was stout. Rolled and flipped the Taco after guy cut in front of me and hit me. Bumper never budged. The frame twisted and every panel on the truck was dented or creased. But the bumper never budged. One side dug down 8 inches in the dirt. I was highly impressed. I thinkn bout putting another 1 on when ever the dealership shows up with my new truck. And iron bull has 2 sets of fog light holes.

Come to think of it, has anyone done a "hi-lift test" on the All-Pro side piece? Can it support the weight of the truck without permanent deformation?

I also wanted to get it PERFECT, I am very paticular about things that mount on my Tacoma. Call it OCDC, call it what you will. It also has an 8000lbs Warn winch mounted in it, which isn't what you would call light.

Also, just a heads up, I have a 2 Gallon air compressor from Lowes. It is the little one that has two air tanks on it, Cambell Hausfeld makes it. It runs perfectly off the 110V outlet in the bed. Until you get onboard air, this thing is a lifesaver, AND it fits in the toolbox in the back of my truck. It only pulls two Amps. (2 Amps X 110 Volts= 220 Watts, outlet is rated at 400W) I know this is off topic, but couldn't help it.

Rides great actually. Being only at .85, it's not bad at all. At 0 I was hitting the fenders on big dips now I'm not. Before, I had a Revtek lift so everything feels better anyways.

You're only supposed to use the Hi-Lift on the d-ring mounts, not on the side pieces. That's what I have sliders for.

I say ARB, and I would get the deluxe, it just looks really clean. I Just installed mine and had to adjust it a bit last night due to the lines being too close and it contacting the fenders over bumps, which sounds like something bad happening might I add. It is beef, did it with one buddy and it all went well. Like another mentioned it took longer for us to get the factory plastic out than any one part of the install... ARB fo da win.
