Component vs. Coaxial Speakers

I wanna install a new sound system on the truck..what do you guys say is best for the front doors, Component or Coaxial speakers? and how did you guys go about subs?

Hmmm. This appears so obvious. Trick question?


Coaxial speakers. Pros. Cheaper then component speakers and easier to install. Some have pretty decent sound.

Component speakers. Pros. Sound better then coaxial speakers of comparable quality and dynamic range, etc.

In summary. Need to save a few bucks and realize this is after all just a pickup and not a home theater - get the coaxial setup. Cost is secondary, I want a damn home theater in my mid-range poorly insulated (sound dampened) pickup - get the component.

Personally I have Focal K2s throughout my truck. The sound is.. well, impressive. I spend time in my truck now just reclining the seat and enjoying my new home theater away from home

 

Component all the way. I have a pair in the front and rear. I love how the Highs sound
