Got the rear leaf tsb done. Now I have had a vibration in drive shaft off takeoff (from a stop) up to about 10 mph. I know this is the carrier bearing vibe everyone talks about, and was considering doing a drop of the carrier bearing holder to alleviate this problem. Just was not sure how much of a drop to do? Is it trial and error? Also should I order a drop kit from toytec? Or should I just go to the home depot, buy 2 longer bolts, a few washers and new nuts?

Last question, considering i have been driving around with the vibe everyday since april, how much U joint damage might I have done? And how long can I put this off for before my U joint decides to go?

    This ^^^

The FSM has a typo in it stating that the torque setting for the U bolts is 37 lbs .

I have heard of two other members with loose U bolts after getting the spring TSB done .

Ill check them out when I get home. I have a slight shudder (shifting between 1st and 2nd) after the TSB, but being that the difference isnt much, and this is stock, I am not too worried. You agree?

I agree. I dont have a torque wrench, but 75 ft/lbs seems like I should just crank down on these and make sure its tight.

yes you should go to hardware store and get stainless washers, and longer bollts. It will fix your low speed shutter.I had exactly the same problem!Only diff.for me i complained to the dealer and they did it free of charge. You will be much happier. Then get 5100's all the way around, and set the fronts to 1.75.You will like it alot.good luck.

Did my carrier drop today. Easier than I thought. 5 minutes. Vibes gone. And when and where are these meetings?

This ^^ I have vibes once up to about 50km/hr. Not sure whether this will fix or I need to try one of the other fixes?
