So I bought a Taco 2007 Sport last year in Phoenix, AZ. What I understood at the time was that the 'Off Road' was a 4WD and the 'Sport' is a 2WD. Then I met up with a friend in Denver CO who has a 4WD 'Sport', and I have seen a few others on here who have a 4WD 'Sport'.

So what gives? Does the naming vary from region to region/state to state?

Having 4wd is a option on both models.

the standard tires are different, too. also, you can't get a TRD double-cab long bed in the off-road, only in the sport.

    2011 DC TRD SPORT Prerunner
    3” spacer lift, 285/75/17 KO2, Spidertrax 1.25” spacers
Sport - More street oriented (LSD and coils), and more bling (colormatched stuff, non functional hoodscoop, 17" wheels)

Off Road - Just as the name implies. Progressive coils, locking rear differential, black handles and mirrors, front tow hook

Both are available in 4x4 and 4x2 (Prerunner).
