slider instal price?

i asked my local offroad shop where i just moved how much to install my weld on sliders from bruteforcefab.com....$780.00 they say roughly for 1 full day labor rate !!!! this seems more then outragous to me.....how much did you guys pay? theres 4 plates per side....im going to rausch creek july 8th and need then on...asap

Wow... that is ABSURD. What a bunch of tools, you think they'd actually want work.

My advice, try elsewhere, plenty of people out there would love to do it for a fraction of that price.

We did mine in my buddies garage, took a few hours.

Find someone who has a welding business.

Most of these guys would probably charge you around 200, I'd guess.

I think the local off road shop here charges about 400 for a set of trail gear sliders and they weld them on as well. I don't much care for the place and think that's on the high end but 800 for just labor just pisses me off.

 

HOLY CRAP!!!! I don't know how anyone can afford to pay labor rates for mods. The parts are pricey enough. Makes getting a few slag burns and busted knuckles from doin' it myself well worth it that's for sure! Guess I'm lucky to have access to the necessary tools. I would shop that price around if I were you. Sounds outrageous!!

 

I had a local shop install my 4xinnovations weld on sliders. They charged 150$. That seemed pretty reasonable to me.

 

glad you guys are confirming my thoughts.....i told them they were crazy..but there swamped with work for the next 3 weeks so they arent doing any favors :/ shity way to do buisness if you ask me.. i was figuring 200 bucks CASH was good?

 

150-200 is what the local weld shop quoted me before i bought my own welder lol

they told me $700 for them to build AND weld them on

 

lol i got mine welded on for 50

Fack. I ordered a set of sliders...I hope I can find someone or a decent place to weld mine on for me.

 

buy a welder and practice until your comfortable. its very worth while to learn

Shit, you can buy a welder, learn to weld and weld them on yourself cheaper than that.

I welded mine on, it costed me about $12 for a roll of wire.
