What tires size should I get without rubbing??

    I just got a 2005 Tacoma and want to buy 17x9 wheels ( don't know which ones yet), but I want to know what size tires should I get without any rubbing.
    I have a 3" lift and wasn't sure about the 285/70/17?
    Anyone can give some input??
    Do they rub? or is it better to get 265/70/17? I know that the look is not as cool as the285.

    Also how bout if I get the 285/75/16, of course buying a 16 inch wheel. Will those rub??

    Question: What does the 33 12.5 17 compare to when it comes to 285/70/17?

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Offset depends on the rim width. You will need 4.5" or less backspacing. And if you opt for the 12.5" tire you will need to step up to a 10" wide rim. The 9" is ok for the 285, but I would avoid the 8" all together.
