what happened to my starter?

Hi dudes, It's been 9 months I didn't drive my tacoma trd sport (I was in travel) and I have removed the battery before my departure of course, but when I tried to start the engine this morning, there was something wrong, it was not the battery because I'm pretty sure it's well charged ' I charged it all the night and I measured the voltage was 13 volts)
So when I try to start the engine, it only makes a tick, I believe it is bad connections
radio and keyless entry work but not well
What do you think of that? Is there something I have missed?

 

Really? Even if the voltage is up to 12.9 volt? And also the eye on the battery is green so fully charged

 

Also when I try to start with the "starter charger" it works but it's very hard for the engine to start, but it works after approximately 5 seconds

 

Yes good idea mate, my mum got a toyota prado and I will try to take her battery to test for my tacoma, I hope for that

Yes it was the battery, so simple, I really thought the battery was still good but at eh shop they tested it and there was 11.80 volts for 0 amp.
Anyway my tacoma is 2008 and the battery only last 3 years, what about you? When did you change your first battery? And what did you choose after that? Mine is a varta blue dynamic

 

Here in Texas, my batteries last about 3 - 4 years, so I replace them every three years.
