Just got done mounting my Load Warrior and bike trays on Control Towers and Landing Pads on a Leer factory track. My 100R arrived about two weeks ago and added a ton of versatility, but I still wanted the bikes and gear out of the bed.
Not sure if I fit in any parking garage now as I have about 2" of lift, 265/75/16, and this monster rack setup. :D

    When the 100R was installed.
Great fit/finish and adds a whole ton of usability.

Cap looks good man, if I had the cash I would definitely consider getting one.

Looks good...Hoping you could help me with a question. I'm doing a similar set-up with permanent mounts for the crossbars on a canopy and my loadwarrior is on back order. I need the bars on for an upcoming move before I'll get the basket and I can't find anything about how adjustable the mounts on the basket are as far as "bar spread" goes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The good news is that you can place the mounting brackets of the Load Warrior in various positions, always straddling two of the thinner basket crossbars. The bad news is that those are fairly determined locations.
If it's not too late, get your cap with the long mounting rails so that you can put the Load Warrior anywhere you want. Note my Leer has these rails that run the length of the cap - it's essential or I can almost guarantee your Load Warrior will run in to problems fitting, as the location of the Yakima bars has to be right.
PM me if you have more q's. I'm a damn Load Warrior expert now, having mounted and tweaked my rack a multitude of times now.

    Photos of the latest.
I moved the Loadwarrior, mounted PIAA 520's, two bike trays...it's coming out nice.
This is after I installed the Spidertrax wheel spacers too

Edit: I'm trying to find a way to mount the PIAA's correctly. Ideally they are not to be mounted like this on their sides as the reflector and beam pattern is not made to go sideways. Finding a low key and sleek solution has been difficult. This is slick but it's not ideal for the lamp performance.

Nice, is there a reason why you moved the basket?

Wowwzers!! That is awesome and is exactly what I am in the process of doing on my Yakima (although my Load Warrior will be on the cap rather than the cab). Yakima makes a Load Warrior light braket to mount as many as 4 lights across the front or rear of the Load Warrior. They will be mounted in the proper orientation so you will not have the difficulty you are describing with the light pattern 90 degrees out of whack.

The Yakima brackets are available on Yakima's website.

Yup, I know about the Yak mounts, but I didn't want to place the lights that high, and I wanted to keep my fairing. The test to that location is a cool idea since it would keep the lights low to the roof and to the sides of the basket. I tried a few ways but wasn't happy with the fit.
In the end, I took them down and put the 520's on the front bumper, like my avatar pic shows.
I moved the basket to the truck and left the Yak rack on the cap so that I have max flexibility. If I take the cap off, I still have a full basket, bike trays and use of the rack. If it was all on the cap, as soon as I take the cap off, I have no rack (x'cept for the filmy Toyota roof rack).
I have zero road noise and I love the look now. With bigger tires and a 3" lift, I think it'll be perfect and done.

I have the same truck, year newer, and I'm looking at putting a cap on too....all of my stuff is Yakima from the past so I'd like to stick with Yakima.

Am I wrong that Leer is only Thule?? I want Leer with Yakima towers and tracks. :)

Do the Yakima towers fit in the long Thule tracks? Or are you mixing the two companies?

If you don't know, does anyone else?

    Thanks! Gorgeous truck.....obviously.

Hey there from up in Kelowna! Your truck is EXACTLY what I am looking to do w/ mine! Same rack setup with lights, and a 3" lift is perfect! Question, how much did you pay for your leer canopy?

I know this is an older post bought that I could shed some info about the Leer and yakima set up. If you do not like the full track across the top of the cap (for either make or price) you can get the Yakima Raingutter mounts (4 for eighty bucks) that mount on the four corners of the cap where you can then mount yakima tower, cross bars, etc.

I had this done to mine and love them so far. Super clean, and low profile IMO. In the process of getting a Basket to do a similar light set up as this.... OP, if your lights were oriented the right way how did you think the projection would be? Looking mostly for long distance lighting on Maine woods roads at night.

    BTW.... nice set up!
