Do AAL's Work?

This is for anyone searching this site looking for info on AAL's (add-a-leaf), and Bilstien 5100's. This is a non TSB 2007 Longbed, Double-cab, 4X4 loaded with 2 inch AAL's and Billie 5100's, hardly any sag, just a little floaty on the front with 1/2 cu yard of medium Noa rock, with rock, shell, rack, plus tools (and more tools behind the bed divider close to the cab, this has to be well in excess of the half-ton rating of the truck. This leafs and Billies are worth EVERY penny!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, giving a shout out to Wheeler's, for the AAL's and the Billies, good customer service, good prices.




Good use of my 19 yr old home from college for the summer, put em to work!

Hell yea they work-

Wheelers 3 leaf progressive rate springs with Billstein 5100's

Towed the boat the other day, no sag - handled great! Night and day differance.


and as you can see, I left the overload spring. It's a personal choice.



Took me an afternoon to do it myself, nothing too it! Anyone thinking about doing it, just do it! You wont be glad you did.

I hauled a half yard of medium pea gravel with my 1.5 aal's and 5100's 100 miles and it did great. Bottomed out on large bumps but it wasn't harsh.
