Called dealer today and there out of there mind for what they want, I guess they know you need it to get tire from below truck so they'll charge out the A$$. Thanks for any help...

I think the scrap yards would be the first place I would look. A lot of them are doing internet business now too.

WTF?????.....I bought a 2006 DC and it was missing the jack and tool kit.

Found a replacement jack and tool kit (including pouch) at a wrecking yard.....$50. You might also look for the parts from a Tundra or 4Runner.......just make sure the jack handle is long enough to lower the tire and the lug wrench fits the bolts

When I bought my '06 PreRunner brand new from the dealer it didn't have the tool kit. I had to go back and get them to order one in, fortunately at no charge to me.

As said above, try the junk yard. That would be the cheapest route.

The standard jack is garbage anyways. If I were you (and I plan on doing this at some point myself) I'd upgrade to a 3ton hydraulic jack. Apparently it will fit in the same spot. (Not tested myself yet)

This must be a ridiculous way for dealers to steal money from customers. I bought my 08 used from a dealer and on the test drive looked for everything that's supposed to come with a vehicle. And guess what, it was missing the jack kit AND radio antenna. I told the salesman about it and he went and got both of them.

You'd be better off getting something like this, but you still need the oem kit handle to get to the spare tire. Some of these aftermarket one's can get to a height of 18".

Maybe that's a 22mm socket. I can't remember but it's one of those two. Someone verify, please. I'm too lazy to run outside.

22 mm is a bit loose. 21 mm or 13/16" fits better and is less likely to round off.
