Here are some pics building it pre painting. I used 1/4 in ply for the shelves to save space. For the main shelf with the pots and pans (behind the traveler mugs) I need to use 1/2" or use angle iron on the 1/4 inch so it doesn't bow.

So there are several forest roads that all connect and wander through this area. The most popular starting points (where I was) are Los Burros road which turns into willow creek road and splits off another forest road across from sand dollar beach called plaskett ridge.

Most people stay at the bottom of Los Burros but if you want more privacy a fun drive and views then drive to the top. From there San Martin top off los burros spur road as well as a few other areas offer good places to pull off and camp. No reservations or fees.

Saw lots of tacos and a few hunters were back there.

South coast road connects to Nacimiento Rd. This is all in Southern Big Sur.

    No fires allowed.

:) Just get a paper map and explore!

Here's mine from a recent trip to CO. Texsport tent. Was a little concerned with quality, but for price figured I'd give it a shot. Very pleased.

Nope. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out so I didn't document the process. I built it over the course of two days with my wife as my assistant/design consultant.

Hanging out at Memaloose State Park (OR) and caught a break in the weather - some sun!! Took a couple of shots. This park is on my NOT recommended list as the road noise form I-84 is intolerable - IMHO.

A nice park and I did some amazing White Water Rafting the other day (www.riverdrifters.net) which was fun then off to the Hot Air Balloon Rally in Prosser (WA) tomorrow -- then back to work Monday!! :(

Hope the Summer was good for all!!!

Was up on the rim this weekend helping out a race. First time out camping in almost three years. Will defiantly be getting out more.
