Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I have a 2011 Tacoma with a 4 cylinder 5 speed combo. I would like to get some more power out of it since I will be buying a small camper to pull with it soon, also would like to have more power for passing and going up steep grades. Any ideas on what I can do to get some more horsepower into it? I would have gotten a V6 but do not like the 6 speed manual and would not have an automatic anyways.

The only thing you can do to improve the HP noticeably is to supercharge the engine. There are no bolt-on, programmable, swappable or otherwise simple mods that will magically unleash the secret power of your 2.7 I4.

If you search this forum, you will find approximately 343,208 threads discussing this exact matter.

    Now, prepare for the flaming/trolling.

Is it an aftermarket supercharger or does toyota make one? If so who makes the best one? And what else needs to be done after installing a SC?

As far as HP gains, those mods are all going to be <10hp collectively.

The low end power I feel from the headers made then extremely worth while! I love my DT headers.

Toyota does not.make a supercharger for us, Alpine and soon URD.
