    i personally don't care for the scoop. i like the trd sport, but not the scoop.
    went into my local dealer this weekend for service, and left with a new trd sport...and they traded the scooped hood for a regular hood.

    i figured out the mod for us, lurry.......open the scewps, then run piping from the back of it to the front of the snoekrls to make them ram air....right?!

    This is true. Late afternoon sun blinds you good and what's odd is my wifes 4Runner has a scoop but it does not blind you like the Tacoma hood does.
    Yes, the scoops non-functional but I personally like it which is why I bought a Sport. I think it makes the front end look more aggressive and less like all the other mid sized P/Us on the road.
